Message From Dg & Ceo, Indian Institute Of Corporate Affairs

Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, as part of its mandate to be a think tank and capacity building autonomous institution under Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, is at the forefront of taking up emerging issues related to the corporate eco-system. It has been pioneer in framing a number of issues such as Insolvency, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Corporate Governance, ESG, Business and Human Rights, Valuation, etc. It has also been successfully running a Graduate Insolvency programme (GIP) to create a force of Insolvency Professionals in the country.

As a further step in this direction, IICA and NALSAR University, one of the prestigious Law Schools in India, have come forward to partner for starting a LL.M programme in Insolvency and Bankruptcy Laws. This will be one of the pioneer courses in Insolvency and would be a great opportunity for many Law Graduates who are looking to make a career in the fast growing Insolvency field in India and abroad. While NALSAR will provide the strength of a functioning Law University to provide inputs related to Law, IICA would bring on table its vast experience in working in the area of Insolvency, through its GIP programmes, and a number of short, medium and long term courses on Insolvency it conducts regularly.  We work closely with IBBI , the insolvency regulator in the country, for taking new initiatives for helping prospective students, practitioners and executives, both in private and public sector for individual and organizational growth. We are also offering many short and long term course on the subject both in online and offline mode to disseminate the knowledge on the subject. The private sector contribution in terms of providing the assistance to the students of IICA for getting the employment in this field is phenomenal and so far we have hundred percent placements in our long terms course like GIP. IICA has also been involved in hosting orientation programmes for newly appointed Hon’ Members of NCLT.

I am confident that the collaboration with NALSAR would go a long way for offering many more courses like LL.M in near future. I wish the course coordinators from NALSAR and IICA for great success for taking this wonderful initiative.
