Message From Vice Chancellor, Nalsar University Of Law

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code is a breakthrough law which is enacted to reduce the Non Performing Assets (NPA) from the Indian Banking System. It is also law for turnaround of sick companies through a Resolution Process. It is one of the rare legislations which concentrate mainly on social, economic, financial and legal aspects of the sick companies. Another important aspect of this law is that it addresses the interests of every stakeholder collectively and does not entertain the individual interests like earlier regime. The law has proved its potential while bringing a serious behavior changes from different stakeholders and improved the ease of doing business ranking at a great extent.

Considering its impact on Indian Insolvency and Bankruptcy system in recent past, the NALSAR University of Law in collaboration with Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), under Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) offering a two years full time residential course (First year at NALSAR, Hyderabad and Second Year IICA, New Delhi) for producing the well trained professionals with the blending of academic, research and practice perspectives on Insolvency Profession. I have full faith on this collaboration for taking the relationship with IICA for long and contributing the part of NALSAR for development of the Corporate and Individual Insolvency Branches of IBC Code.
